Xena - Prefers Male Hands This fuzzy paw is currently in the care of the DKSV and is available for donation. Our cats are medically checked, vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, provided they are old enough. Kittens are, of course, also medically checked and are only rehomed with castration agreement. The approximately 2-year-old mother cat Xena was rescued with her 8-week-old kittens from cold and snow. At first very fearful and shy, she has slowly built trust with her people and is already allowing herself to be stroked. After the castration, however, she wants nothing to do with her last kitten. She needs time and patience and cat-experienced people who do not pressure her. Horses, dogs, and small children would not be suitable. A secure balcony should be available. Who gives this Charakterkatze a chance at a cat-friendly life? Update 11.04.2026: Xena has made significant progress in trust development and is almost a cuddle cat, at least with her male caregiver. Xena - Männerhände bevorzugt Diese Samtpfote befindet sich zur Zeit in der Obhut des DKSV und ist gegen Spende und Schutzvertrag zu vermitteln. Unsere Katzen sind tierärztlich untersucht, geimpft, kastriert, gechipt, sofern sie alt genug sind. Katzenkinder sind selbstverständlich auch tierärztlich untersucht und werden nur mit Kastrationsverpflichtung vermittelt. Die ca. 2-jährige Mutterkatze Xena wurde mit ihren 8 Wochen alten Kitten aus Kälte und Schnee gerettet. Anfangs sehr ängstlich und scheu, hat sie jetzt langsam Vertrauen zu ihren Menschen aufgebaut und lässt sich schon etwas streicheln. Nach der Kastration will sie aber nichts mehr mit ihrem letzten Kitten zu tun haben. Sie braucht noch Zeit und Geduld und katzenerfahrene Menschen, die sie nicht bedrängen. Hunde und Kleinkinder wären nicht passend. Ein gesicherter Balkon sollte vorhanden sein. Wer gibt dieser Charakterkatze eine Chance auf ein katzengerechtes Leben? Update 11.04.2026: Xena hat erhebliche Fortschritte bei der Vertrauensentwicklung gemacht und ist schon fast eine Schmusekatze geworden, zumindest bei ihrem männlichen Versorger.
