Found wandering the streets, Diego was rescued and brought to Live PAWS. It pulled on our heartstrings to see this lovely boy so shut down. When he arrived, he was very timid and withdrawn, unsure of people, and kept himself to himself. Putting a collar on him was a challenge, and walking him was completely out of the question. With time, love, and patience, Diego slowly began to trust, helped along by his kennel buddy, Cataleya. He started to show his true personality: a gentle giant, whom the kennel staff describe as a real goofball. He now happily comes over to you, especially if breakfast is involved, wagging his tail furiously. Diego enjoys walking alone or with his kennel friends. Although he still has a little way to go and can sometimes be timid, especially around loud noises. He is such a sweet natured boy , we have no doubt that Diego would make a wonderful forever companion.
