Diego arrived at our shelter on 24.04.2026. Diego is about 4 years old and is a German short-haired pointer—a breed that is exceptionally intelligent, active, and requires appropriate management. German pointers are very human-oriented dogs, sensitive, loyal, and eager to work, but they need a caregiver who is aware of the needs of this breed, consistent, and able to set clear boundaries. This is not a dog for a couch and a short walk around the block. Diego is a tall, dignified, and imposing dog who makes a huge impression with his presence. He is a boy who definitely needs a confident, responsible, and specific person—preferably someone who has had previous experience with German pointers or dogs with a similar temperament. Diego can defend his resources, so further work on communication and respecting his boundaries will be important. Toward people, he is sensitive and gentle, but if someone exceeds his comfort, he can warn with a warning growl. We are looking for a home that will be able to read him, respect, and wisely lead him.

Diego trafił do nas 24.04.2026r. Diego ma około 4 lat i jest wyżłem niemieckim krótkowłosym — to rasa niezwykle inteligentna, aktywna i wymagająca odpowiedniego prowadzenia. Wyżły są psami bardzo związanymi z człowiekiem, wrażliwymi, lojalnymi i chętnymi do pracy, ale potrzebują opiekuna świadomego potrzeb tej rasy, konsekwentnego i potrafiącego wyznaczać jasne granice. To nie jest pies „na kanapę i krótki spacer wokół bloku”. Diego to wysoki, dostojny i postawny pies, który robi ogromne wrażenie swoją prezencją. Jest chłopakiem, który zdecydowanie potrzebuje osoby pewnej siebie, odpowiedzialnej i konkretnej — najlepiej takiej, która miała już wcześniej styczność z rasą wyżłów lub psami o podobnym charakterze i temperamencie. Diego potrafi bronić swoich zasobów, dlatego ważna będzie dalsza praca nad komunikacją i respektowaniem jego granic.
