adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Dilay has found her home! Her story: Dilay and her siblings Nani, Perle, Jiminy, and Lennart – five little dwarfs, fivefold charm, five times to fall in love with! Just two months old, they are now each searching for their own wonderful home where they can play, learn, and be cuddled a lot. Their start in life was unfortunately anything but easy. Found without a mother at just one week old, their eyes still closed, and far too small for the big world. Luckily, they were raised in a Romanian foster home with a bottle, carried, and well cared for. Perhaps that is the reason why they are so people-oriented, loving, and open today. What once were worried orphans have become a lively bunch of puppy joy. They play, tumble over each other, and curiously investigate everything that comes before their noses. They meet new situations with openness and a lot of basic trust. In dealing with other dogs, they are friendly and sociable, and even cats have already become acquainted with them. Dilay is likely a Husky mix with dark eyes and the typical Nordic fur pattern in gray and white. When fully grown, she will not only reach a medium shoulder height and thus be the perfect companion, but also with her beautiful appearance she will captivate. Huskies are true adventurers with heart: they are smart, attentive, and need a lot of movement as well as mental stimulation. Although they tend to be independent, they build a close bond with their people and are highly social and deeply loyal. As family dogs, they feel particularly comfortable when their high needs for stimulation, confident leadership, and shared activities are met. Of course, Dilay is still very young. House training, walking on a leash, and also learning to be at rest – all of this and much more must be learned. And yes, puberty will also come, a normal developmental phase in which everything is suddenly questioned and can sometimes become stubborn. Whoever accompanies her through this time with patience, understanding, and orientation will definitely be happy about a very special connection at the end. She is still not neutered due to its age. Who would like to have this treasure in their life? Of course, Dilay is also looking forward to a suitable foster home. Many thanks, Martina, for taking on her namesship. As of: 13.02. This animal is house-trained. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 13.02.2026

About Dilay

What life with Dilay looks like

Dilay is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dilay, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dilay?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dilay on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dilay if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dilay already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dilay isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dilay and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
