Adopt Dino

Border Collie · Male · Young · 1 year

Name: Dino Breed: Border Collie Newfoundland mixed breed Color: black and white Age: 10.06.2025 Size: currently 47 cm / 15 kg Status: vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, MMK test, EU passport Location: Greece Just six weeks old, Dino and his siblings lost their mother. Little Dino is an extremely friendly young dog. With his open and playful character, he shows great curiosity for the world around him. Dino and his siblings share an enclosure. During daily free play, however, they play exuberantly with the other dogs. Dino joins in and has a lot of fun. He gets along with all dogs at our shelter and hasn't had any negative experiences so far. With strangers, he is initially reserved and therefore needs some time, which must definitely be given to him. Above all, patience and empathy are important for this young male dog. A confident resident female dog would also be an advantage for Dino, helping him settle in more easily. With our caregiver, he needed a little time to warm up at first, since he didn't know her and his previous caregiver had left us. Dino hasn't met children yet. He hasn't had any experience with cats and small animals yet, so there should be no cats or small animals in his new home. Dino wishes for a home in a rural area, as he doesn't know the big city. His people should be willing to support him during the settling-in period with patience and understanding. Contact: Sofia Becic, griechische Fellnasen e.V., Email:

Kontakt:Sofia Becicgriechische Fellnasen e.V.Email:

About Dino

What life with Dino looks like

Dino is a medium-sized young adult border collie dog waiting at Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
