Diogo's previous life did not begin in a safe home, but on the streets of Romania. He was picked up by the Animal Police and now lives in the Public Shelter in Baia Mare. No one knows where the young male dog originally came from. His last known location was the street - rough, noisy and full of uncertainty. Perhaps at some point he was simply left behind when no one wanted to take responsibility for him anymore. Or perhaps he had already learned as a puppy to fend for himself. One can only guess what he might have experienced there: searching for food, constant movement, cautiously assessing people and nights without a secure sleeping place. Maybe he had to stick close to other dogs so as not to be completely alone. And maybe he never stopped looking curiously and openly at the world despite everything. Now Diogo is in the shelter and is waiting to finally be seen - not as a stray dog, but as a young dog with a future and great potential. Diogo is about 11 months old and is a medium-sized dog with a shoulder height of about 54 cm. He is a beautiful, light cream-colored male dog with short fur and a particularly friendly presence. His upright ears, alert gaze and cheerful open face give him a charming and inviting appearance. With his slim, harmonious body structure and elegant, slightly long tail, Diogo appears simultaneously lively, confident and incredibly likeable. A dog who immediately stands out positively just by his bright and friendly appearance. Character-wise, Diogo has much to offer: he shows himself active, friendly and sometimes even a bit boisterous - just a young dog full of energy and joy of life. However, he is sweet and nice to handle. He gets along well with female dog, how he reacts to males is not yet known. Diogo seems to be a dog who likes to be active and explores his surroundings with curiosity. At the same time, he needs people who show him how a shared life works and give him orientation. When moving into his new home, everything will be new for Diogo. Life in a house, everyday noises, fixed routines, walking on a leash or perhaps being alone - all of this he will have to learn step by step. Therefore, he is looking for people who understand that a dog from the animal shelter needs time to settle in and build trust. A loving but consistent upbringing will help him gain security and develop into a reliable companion. The visit to a positively working dog school could especially support Diogo in learning new things and growing together with his humans. In addition, Diogo is currently in puberty - an exciting, but often also challenging phase of development. Boundaries are tested, things learned are sometimes seemingly forgotten, and emotions go up and down. Young dogs then often appear particularly mischievous or impulsive. Patience, clear rules and loving consistency are important in this phase. With the right support, Diogo will learn to orient himself better and calm down. Like any young dog, Diogo needs not only physical activity, but also mental stimulation. Dogs want to be occupied, to experience things together with their humans and to have tasks. Walks, search games, small training sessions or varied activities strengthen not only self-confidence, but also the bond between dog and human. Active dogs like Diogo particularly benefit from being usefully occupied both physically and mentally. For Diogo, we wish a loving and empathetic home with people who enjoy showing a young dog the world and accompanying him patiently on his way. People who do not judge him because of his past, but give him the chance to finally arrive. Because behind his cheerful eyes is a dog ready to give trust and rediscover life together with his humans. Diogo hat einen großen Schritt geschafft: Der junge Rüde durfte Rumänien hinter sich lassen und nach Deutschland reisen. Doch manchmal läuft der Start in ein neues Leben anders als erhofft. Seine derzeitige Pflegestelle hatte sich das Zusammenleben mit einem Tierschutzhund etwas einfacher vorgestellt und merkt nun, dass sie mit Diogos Unsicherheit und dem damit verbundenen Unterstützungsbedarf nicht gut zurechtkommt. Deshalb suchen wir für Diogo dringend eine neue Pflegestelle – oder natürlich am allerliebsten Menschen, bei denen er endgültig ankommen darf. Ein erneuter Wechsel ist gerade für einen unsicheren Hund natürlich nicht ideal. Umso wichtiger ist es, jetzt einen Platz zu finden, an dem Diogo die nötige Ruhe, Sicherheit und Zeit bekommt. Diogo ist etwa 11 Monate alt und ca. 54 cm groß. Er ist ein wunderschöner, freundlicher junger Rüde, der durchaus neugierig ist und eine verspielte Seite hat. Besonders im geschützten Zuhause kann er bereits loslassen und spielt gerne. Draußen sieht die Welt für Diogo momentan noch etwas anders aus. Er geht grundsätzlich gerne spazieren, die vielen neuen Umweltreize verunsichern und stressen ihn jedoch noch. Vor allem bei Hundebegegnungen zeigt er sich ängstlich und braucht einen Menschen an seiner Seite, der ihm Sicherheit gibt und ihn ruhig durch solche Situationen führt. Auch Kinder verunsichern Diogo derzeit, weshalb wir für ihn ein ruhiges Zuhause ohne Kinder suchen. Einige Dinge funktionieren bereits gut: Diogo läuft beispielsweise problemlos Treppen und geht gerne mit nach draußen. Das Alleinbleiben kennt er dagegen noch nicht. Verlässt seine Bezugsperson das Haus, selbst wenn es nur für einen kurzen Einkauf ist, weint er. Auch das muss langsam und kleinschrittig mit ihm aufgebaut werden. Seine Unsicherheit zeigt sich momentan außerdem darin, dass Diogo sich draußen noch nicht lösen kann. Die vielen neuen Eindrücke beschäftigen ihn offenbar noch so sehr, dass ihm dafür die nötige Ruhe und Sicherheit fehlen. Hier braucht es vor allem Geduld und keinen Druck. Für Diogo suchen wir Menschen, die wissen, dass ein Hund nach der Ausreise aus einem rumänischen Shelter nicht automatisch vom ersten Tag an in unserem Alltag zurechtkommt. Er braucht jemanden, der ihn nicht überfordert, ihm Orientierung gibt und gemeinsam mit ihm Schritt für Schritt seine neue Welt entdeckt. Ein ruhigeres Umfeld wäre für Diogo von Vorteil. Mit Geduld, verlässlichen Strukturen und liebevoller Führung kann er lernen, immer mehr Sicherheit zu gewinnen. Denn hinter seiner Unsicherheit steckt ein junger Hund, der spielen, entdecken und dazugehören möchte. Er braucht jetzt vor allem eines: Menschen, die ihm die Zeit geben, die er benötigt, und ihn nicht gleich wieder aufgeben, wenn noch nicht alles funktioniert. Wer kann Diogo auffangen und ihm einen sicheren Platz geben, an dem er endlich zur Ruhe kommen darf? Diogo ist kastriert, geimpft, gechipt, entwurmt und entfloht und besitzt einen gültigen EU-Heimtierausweis. Er wird nach positiver Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr vermittelt.
