Adopt Diuczessa (a56)

Female

DIUCZESSA - a female cat caught on Chorzowska Street. The kitten was brought to us for treatment. Unfortunately, it turned out that Diuczessa is suffering from calicivirus. It's clear that Diuczessa hasn't had much contact with people before, as she is very afraid and avoids anyone trying to approach her. The kitten uses a litter box. FiV and FelV are contagious diseases that are only dangerous to the same species. Cats with positive results are not a threat to humans or other animal species. A cat suffering from these diseases has a lowered immunity, may get sick more often, and is more prone to catching colds. However, it's important to remember that the cat we care for, which lives in warmth, doesn't necessarily have to be sick and can live a long and happy life. Supplementing the diet with immunity boosters will certainly be helpful. Cats with FiV/FelV can live with other infected cats or as a "single" at 20325-116 Ściegienna Kielce. DIUCZESSA - kociczka złapana na ul. Chorzowskiej.

About Diuczessa (a56)

What life with Diuczessa (a56) looks like

Diuczessa (a56) is a adult cat waiting at Schronisko Kielce in Kielce.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Diuczessa (a56), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Diuczessa (a56)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kielce handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Diuczessa (a56) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Diuczessa (a56) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kielce will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Diuczessa (a56) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Diuczessa (a56) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kielce early rather than rehoming privately; they know Diuczessa (a56) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
