Diva

Pit Bull Terrier · Female · Adult · 7 years

Diva is a pitbull with a determined heart and a look that speaks clearly. She has a confident, solid and well-structured character: a true lady who knows what she wants... and isn't afraid of making it clear! She is cooperative, loves interacting with people and adores being involved in activities and experiences, both in the green and in the city. In short, if there's something to explore, sniff or simply enjoy life together with her human, Diva is always ready! She has a high motivation to discover, sniff, "sniff around" and keep everything under control - but also a strong ability to bond and create genuine connections. On the leash she is composed and confident, loves lying in the sun with great style... but she also knows how to jump on the lap of her favorite human for some cuddles. She is affectionate and present, but not intrusive: the perfect diva! With her peers she is selective, but not closed: to be evaluated with other male dogs. No cats, please! We are looking for a family that is not new to having a dog, aware of the breed's characteristics and with the patience to get to know her thoroughly. Once she's won over, Diva is all yours.

IT·Show original

No gatti, per favore! Cerchiamo per lei una famiglia che non sia alla prima esperienza, consapevole delle caratteristiche della razza e con la pazienza di conoscerla a fondo. Una volta conquistata, Diva è tutta per voi.

About Diva

What life with Diva looks like

Diva is a medium-sized adult pit bull terrier dog waiting at L'Arca di Piera.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Diva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Diva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. L'Arca di Piera handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Diva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Diva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — L'Arca di Piera will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Diva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Diva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with L'Arca di Piera early rather than rehoming privately; they know Diva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
