Doja

Female · Adult · 5 years

Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs settling in Can I be left alone? Potentially, once settled Doja came into us as a stray so we don’t know if she’s been left home alone. She will need to be settled into her new home and any home alone training worked on before being left but she has the potential to do a few hours. Do I have any medical conditions? None This pet has a clean bill of health and can be fully insured after rehoming. Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? No Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information Doja is polite with other dogs but doesn’t enjoy them if they’re too excitable. She is happy to go on walks with dogs who have a similar personality and are more interested in the exciting sniffs than having a play. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Doja can live with children aged 8+. She has been friendly with people that she’s met on-site and gets very excited to see her favourite people. What type of environment would suit me? Doja will need a secure, private garden in her new home so she’s got an area to have a good run around and to help with her toilet training. About Doja Less Doja Cat, more Doja Dog! This cheeky little lady will keep you entertained with her bouncy and excitable nature. She loves going for walks and meeting new people. She is super affectionate but has a mischievous side, she loves food and has found her nose in people’s treat pouches before. She doesn’t know many tricks but she always takes any form of learning on with much enthusiasm.

About Doja

What life with Doja looks like

Doja is a small adult dog waiting at Woodgreen Pets Charity in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Doja, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Doja?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Woodgreen Pets Charity handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Doja on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Doja if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Woodgreen Pets Charity will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Doja already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Doja isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Woodgreen Pets Charity early rather than rehoming privately; they know Doja and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
