Doli

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

🐾❤️ DOLI – 5 KILOS OF LOVE, A SMILE FULL OF HOPE, AND A HEART THAT FINALLY WANTS TO ARRIVE SOMEWHERE ❤️🐾 Sometimes you meet a little being who strikes you straight in the heart with a single glance. 💔 And sometimes you wonder how much longing can fit into such a tiny body … Doli is one of those little beings. ❤️ She weighs just 5 kg, this delicate little female dog. At around 2 years old, she is still young and hopefully has her whole dog life full of happiness ahead of her. She is tiny, gentle, and full of love. And yet she carries something within her that is not easily forgotten: Doli smiles. Again and again. As if, despite everything life has put her through so far, she has not yet lost her trust in people. 🥺💕 Her story is a sad one. Doli was taken in by an elderly gentleman, who had in turn received her from a person who has since passed away. In the end, he no longer knew how to go on with the little dog and was looking for someone who could help her. And then this tiny girl stood there … with her smile, her big feelings, and her boundless longing for closeness. When Doli saw her current foster mom in Romania, she seemed unable to get enough of being near her. She clung to her and looked at her as if she wanted to ask for something that should be the most natural thing in the world but is not yet certain for her: "Please, don't leave me alone. Please, love me. I just want to belong." 💔🐾 How can anyone simply walk away from a look like that? How can anyone forget this little heart when it longs so deeply for security? Doli should no longer be passed from one person to the next. She should finally be allowed to arrive. Forever. 🏡❤️ For this enchanting little dog, we wish for a person who doesn't just find her cute because she is so tiny and smiles so charmingly. We are looking for someone who sees her heart. Someone who gives her security, cares for her lovingly, spoils her, and shows her that she never again has to worry about her place by their side. Doli needs people who have time for her and who open their whole hearts to her. People with whom she can be very close, who enjoy her nearness and give her the love she seems to long for so much. We don't know everything Doli has experienced in her past. But we know that she deserves a future in which she can feel safe. A future full of warmth, gentle hands, shared cuddle time, and small moments of happiness. ❤️ Doli should no longer have to smile to win someone over. She should be allowed to smile because she is happy. 🥹💕 Perhaps YOU are the person this little girl is waiting for. Perhaps there is still a spot free in your life – not just on the sofa, but above all in your heart. 🙏 Who will give our little Doli her forever home and promise her that she will never be left alone again? Doli comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and with an EU pet passport to her new people. 🐾❤️ If you would like to adopt Doli and can imagine giving her a loving home for life, please visit our homepage at www.tiernothilfe-ev.de and fill out our adoption questionnaire there. About Doli

What life with Doli looks like

Doli is a very small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. in Germany.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Doli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Doli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Doli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Doli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Doli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Doli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Doli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
