Dolly

Female · Young · 3 years

Dolly is a beautiful, three-year-old tricolor with an exceptional coat and an incredibly interesting expression. It's hard to pass her by without noticing – she captivates not only with her beauty but also with her energy and character. She is a wonderful girl, full of life, curiosity, and feline charm. She loves being petted, playing together, and human contact. Dolly is a very affectionate cat who easily forms relationships and clearly values the presence of her caretaker. Dolly is a little madcap – energetic, cheerful, and always ready for a dose of shared activity. The beginning in the shelter was difficult for her. When she had to stay in a hospital cage, she showed with her whole body that she badly tolerated the situation and it greatly stressed her. She could show her claws. Fortunately, when she felt safer, she revealed her true face – a wonderful cat who likes to spend time with humans and gladly takes advantage of their attention and tenderness. Dolly doesn't like other cats, so she is looking for a home as a single cat. She will best find her place with a caretaker who will dedicate time, attention, and allow her to be a full-fledged queen of the house. The cat has been diagnosed with IBD, so she should remain on a high-quality monoprotein diet. We are looking for a responsible and loving home that will take care of both her health and emotional needs. In return, Dolly will repay you with great joy, energy, and feline sympathy. We invite you to review the pre-adoption questionnaire and come to the shelter with the completed form: Before adoption, make sure that your home/apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Attention: If you decide to adopt a cat or are considering it, bring a carrier or transport bag to the shelter for transporting cats.

To przecudowna dziewczyna, pełna życia, ciekawości i kociego uroku. About Dolly

What life with Dolly looks like

Dolly is a small young adult cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dolly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dolly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dolly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dolly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dolly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dolly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dolly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
