DRAKO

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 5 years

In the American Bully type, age about 4-5 years. Appearance: dark brown, small white markings. Temperament: home-oriented, friendly, emotional, does not tolerate cats. Health: food allergies. Place of stay: dog hotel, Grójec. Contact for adoption: 501 797 018. Adoption questionnaire -> HERE DRAKO is about 4-5 years old, is a large, strong American Bully. Under the care of our foundation was handed over by the owner due to health problems. Over the past weeks we have gotten to know DRAKO better, so that we can tell you who our little fellow is and know what kind of home we will look for him. DRAKO is a dog who likes people. Even more, he likes to be praised. With calm, stable handling, he is a cuddly bear. Greets guests in the house friendly. Keeps needs during walks, we do not see tendencies to destroy or bark when left alone. He is fully trained in terms of baths, vet visits, ear cleaning, etc. There is no problem with guarding resources. He travels well by car. Outside, with toys is excitable. May climb onto high emotions, tug toys, grab branches, trees. DRAKO previously lived with a child, but due to his excitability, we would recommend experience in handling large emotional dogs in a household with children. He is selective towards other dogs, gets along with some, but this issue requires a calm introduction. We do not recommend DRAKO for households with cats. Health-wise, DRAKO is an allergy sufferer, needs a dedicated diet. Currently, he is under the care of our beloved dermatologist, Dr. Milewska from the Wetlandia clinic (Warsaw). DRAKO is staying in a hotel near Grójc. We are looking for both a temporary and permanent home for him. In the case of DT foundation provides maintenance and treatment of the dog. If you feel that he might be the dog for you, contact us.

w typie American Bully, wiek ok. 4-5 lat. About DRAKO

What life with DRAKO looks like

DRAKO is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja AST (Adoptuj Staffa i Teriera) in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting DRAKO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about DRAKO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja AST (Adoptuj Staffa i Teriera) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw DRAKO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt DRAKO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja AST (Adoptuj Staffa i Teriera) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is DRAKO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if DRAKO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja AST (Adoptuj Staffa i Teriera) early rather than rehoming privately; they know DRAKO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
