Draska

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Hi, I'm Draska! I arrived at the shelter on August 28, 2026, from ROD Zacisze with my sister Drula. We were probably born around mid-June. When we arrived at the shelter, we were a bit sick, but now I can focus on what's most important - finding my home. I'm not yet a tame cat. A human still makes me a lot of uncertainty and I definitely don't belong to those who immediately jump on the lap. But maybe that's what makes me charming? If you like challenges and dream of a cat, on which you really have to earn trust, I can be just for you. Every little step I take towards a human will be something special. I have a lot of energy. I love to play, run and go wild, and even more so observe the world from above. High shelves, scratching posts and any places from which you can have everything in sight, definitely belong to my favorites. I get along great with other cats, so the presence of a feline companion in a new home would be a big support for me. I use the litter box. I have been vaccinated, dewormed and chipped. In the future, I will also have a free sterilization procedure at the shelter. I don't promise that I will love you from the first day. But if you give me time, peace and patience, maybe one day I'll convince myself that a human can be really important.

Cześć, jestem Draska! Do schroniska trafiłam 28 sierpnia 2026 roku z ROD Zacisze razem z moją siostrą Drulą. Korzystam z kuwety.Zostałam zaszczepiona, odrobaczona i zaczipowana.

About Draska

What life with Draska looks like

Draska is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Schronisko Zabrze in Zabrze.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Draska, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Draska?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Zabrze handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Draska on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Draska if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Zabrze will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Draska already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Draska isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Zabrze early rather than rehoming privately; they know Draska and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
