Teresa: A Three-Legged Wonder with a Golden Heart! Teresa is searching for her big break! Sometimes the toughest fates bring out the brightest souls. Teresa is the perfect example: the beautiful King-Cavalier-Mix (approx. 2-4 years old) has endured terrible things. She was probably heartlessly abandoned by a breeder on the street. When she was found, she was completely distraught, emaciated, with a shattered front leg, and still cared lovingly for her little puppies. Unfortunately, her injury was so severe that it had to be amputated. But Teresa is a true fighter! She has survived the surgery superbly, and on her three legs, she masters her daily routine in an exemplary manner. Additionally, a mitral valve insufficiency (a heart valve weakness) was diagnosed in her. However, she is medically well-adjusted and receives 5 mg Vetmedin daily, which she lives well with. Teresa's Character & Needs: A dog with a heart of gold, compatible with her kind and grateful for every attention. After all the hardships, she needs some time and patience to adjust to new situations and strangers. With understanding people, she radiates pure joy and positivity.

What life with Dreibein Teresa hatte es noch nie schön looks like

Dreibein Teresa hatte es noch nie schön is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe Antalya in Ansbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
