Dryada

Mixed Breed · Unknown

I am named Dryada and, as befits a woodland spirit, I like to observe everything carefully first. New places and new people pique my curiosity but also a bit of uncertainty. I need a moment to feel safe, but once I am convinced that nothing threatens me, I am eager to join in the fun and explore every nook and cranny. Together with my mother and siblings, I arrived at this breed Animal Shelter on June 10, 2026, from Chełmoński Street. I was born at the end of April 2026 on the roof of one of the buildings, where good neighbors took care of us for the first few weeks of our lives. They brought us food daily and made sure our litter box was clean. I am vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed. I enjoy using the litter box. I am looking for a home where someone will patiently show me that the world of people can be just as friendly as the world of my cozy playthings. When I reach the appropriate age, my new guardians will receive a free spaying procedure performed at the animal shelter.

Razem z mamą i rodzeństwem trafiłam do schroniska 10 czerwca 2026 roku z ulicy Chełmońskiego. Urodziłam się pod koniec kwietnia 2026 roku na strychu jednego z budynków, gdzie przez pierwsze tygodnie życia opiekowała się nami dobra mieszkanka. Codziennie przynosiła nam jedzenie i dbała o czystość naszej kuwety.Jestem zaszczepiona, odrobaczona i zaczipowana. Pięknie korzystam z kuwety. Szukam domu, w którym ktoś cierpliwie pokaże mi, że świat ludzi może być równie przyjazny jak świat moich kocich zabaw. Gdy osiągnę odpowiedni wiek, moim nowym opiekunom zapewniamy bezpłatny zabieg sterylizacji wykonany w schronisku.

About Dryada

What life with Dryada looks like

Dryada is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Zabrze in Zabrze.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dryada, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dryada?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Zabrze handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dryada on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dryada if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Zabrze will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dryada already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dryada isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Zabrze early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dryada and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
