KRYSTYNA

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

Gentle, calm female dog. We present Krystyna - a calm, mature spaniel who came under our care. For many years, the mother wandered around the village, giving birth to puppies in nearby sheds and holes. Finally, she was secured, the mother weaned her offspring and is now ready for adoption. Krysia was neglected. She now looks nice and is in good condition. For now, KRYSTYNA is quite shy but gentle. Krysia needs some time to adapt, but she will definitely be a wonderful companion for the whole family. Krystynka is small; she weighs about 12-13 kg, and is currently about 5-6 years old. We are very kindly asking for a chance and a home for Krystynka. An animal shelter is not a place for such a delicate female dog. Prevention: the female dog has all vaccinations, is generally healthy. She was treated for fleas and worms. She is spayed and sterilized. Come visit our animal shelter. If you find a dog that steals your heart, we will help with transport to a new home at a reasonable distance. The animal shelter is located in Racławice near Miechów in the Małopolska province (about 40 km from Krakow). All animals from our animal shelter are sterilized or castrated before adoption, and there are no exceptions except for medical reasons. We inform you that we do not give out animals on a leash, nor puppies outside.

Została odrobaczona i odpchlona. Jest zaczipowana i została wysterylizowana. Zapraszamy do naszego schroniska. About KRYSTYNA

What life with KRYSTYNA looks like

KRYSTYNA is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Psie Pole in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting KRYSTYNA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about KRYSTYNA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Psie Pole handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw KRYSTYNA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt KRYSTYNA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Psie Pole will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is KRYSTYNA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if KRYSTYNA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Psie Pole early rather than rehoming privately; they know KRYSTYNA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
