The approximately five-month-old Dūcis is a classic black-and-white kitten, with a black coat and a white collar, and that special "I'm just checking who you all are" cat look. Dūcis is insecure and timid. He has not gained the sense of security that a kitten should have at the beginning of its life, and now in the shelter he is slowly learning to trust humans. Therefore, Dūcis needs a patient, calm, and caring owner who understands that sometimes a small cat needs not more attention, but more time. Trust will not happen on command "let's make friends now!". Dūcis is not currently recommended for families with young children. Apmēram piecus mēnešus jaunais Dūcis ir klasisks melnbaltais kaķēns, melns kažociņš, balta apkaklīte un tas īpašais “es te tikai paskatīšos, kas jūs visi tādi esat” kaķa skatiens. Dūcis ir nedrošs un tramīgs. Viņš dzīves sākumā nav ieguvis to drošības sajūtu, kas kaķēnam pienāktos, un tagad patversmē pamazām mācās uzticēties cilvēkam. Tāpēc Dūcim vajadzīgs pacietīgs, mierīgs un gādīgs saimnieks, kurš sapratīs, ka mazam kaķim reizēm nepieciešams nevis vairāk uzmanības, bet vairāk laika. Uzticība nenotiks pēc komandas “tagad draudzējamies!”. Dūcis šobrīd nav ieteicams ģimenēm ar maziem bērniem.
