Dziara

Female · Puppy · 8 months

I'm Dziara, but people call me Dziarka because I'm still young, I'm supposed to be a bit crazy, and I still have a lot to learn about life. That's what the older dogs here say. I don't remember how I ended up homeless. It's hard to believe, because I'm feisty, brave, intelligent, curious, always around, and I learn quickly. Most of all, I'm full of energy for... playing! In short, I'm a girl with potential! I love walks, dogs, people - people even more than dogs, nature facts, and new things - although I'm cautious at first, because I have a survival instinct and sometimes think before I act. Okay, now the adults can talk. Before you get lost in Dziara's beautiful ears and sharp eyes, remember that this young, energetic, and talkative girl has typical characteristics of herding dogs and has her "teenage" needs. These include daily long walks in a non-urban area, routine and clear rules at home, a quiet, comfortable, and peaceful place to rest, a consistent approach from the owners, and experience in dog care. If you think you can meet Dziara's expectations, we invite you to contact us by phone. Należą do nich codzienne, długie spacery w niemiejskiej okolicy, rutyna i jasne zasady obowiązujące w domu, ciche, wygodne i zapewniające spokój miejsce do odpoczynku, konsekwentne podejście opiekunów i doświadczenie w opiece nad psem, regularne spotkania towarzyskie z mądrymi psami. About Dziara

What life with Dziara looks like

Dziara is a medium-sized puppy dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dziara, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dziara?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dziara on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dziara if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Dziara already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dziara isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dziara and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
