How do I contact the shelter about Echo?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adopte Un Matou handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Echo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Echo if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adopte Un Matou will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Echo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Echo isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adopte Un Matou early rather than rehoming privately; they know Echo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Echo

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 2 months

Echo is a sweet, 2.5-month-old black kitten raised by his mother and siblings. He is a reserved and calm cat who likes to observe before joining in. Echo seeks the company of other cats, especially his brother Ulysse, a beautiful red tabby kitten. However, as soon as you settle down, he comes to sit next to you, enjoys being petted, and purrs when you give him lots of cuddles. Echo and Ulysse still spend a lot of time playing and living their little lives together. They are not yet the type of kittens that demand constant cuddles. They are very comfortable with humans and are gradually becoming more and more affectionate. The presence of another cat seems particularly important to them, as they are particularly attracted to the foster family's cat. They are looking for a home that will welcome them both, or if they must be separated, a home with another sociable cat. They are available in Paris 17th under the Adopte Un Matou association. Echo and Ulysse are: Identified (microchip), first vaccinated (typhus/coryza), and dewormed (worms/fleas). With health booklet, health certificate, and adoption commitment certificate. Adoption fee: €180 each. Sterilization is mandatory from 6 months (non-negotiable clause of the adoption contract). Follow-up placement. The exteriors (windows, balconies...) of their future home must be securely fenced to prevent a kitten/cat from escaping or falling (we eliminate all requests that do not meet this condition).

FR·Show original

About Echo

What life with Echo looks like

Echo is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Adopte Un Matou in Maurecourt.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.
