With white/tiger-striped EKH Freigang Eddy, who was on the lookout for a stable feeding station, discovering the filled food bowls for our outdoor cats at the front door of our shelter, he was delighted by the well-stocked table. Since he was not neutered, the procedure was completed after the veterinary examination. Clearly, Eddy had little human contact up until now, as he still behaves very reservedly towards us. His favorite spot is in a cave, and it will likely take some time until he develops a consistent trust in us. The currently somewhat insecure and anxious tomcat will surely develop into a loyal companion with a lot of empathy and patience. With Tessa, who was supplied by a feeding station for some time and recently moved into Eddy's room, we can currently observe that she is increasingly comfortable in the cat shelter, enjoying the care and security there, and has chosen Eddy as her best friend. Although the human hand is still somewhat unfamiliar to Tessa, she can already be enticed out of her shell with treats. Eddy und Tessa now play with each other a lot, share the same basket or hiding spot, and like to lie next to each other.

mit weiß/getigertEKHFreigangEddy, der auf der Suche nach einer beständigen Futterstelle war, entdeckte die für unsere Freigänger gefüllten Futternäpfe vor der Tür unseres Tierheims und freute sich über den reich gedeckten Tisch. Da er nicht kastriert war, wurde das nach der tierärztlichen Untersuchung nachgeholt. Offensichtlich hatte Eddy bislang wenig Menschenkontakt, denn er verhält sich uns gegenüber noch sehr zurückhaltend. Sein Lieblingsplatz ist in einer Höhle, und es wird sicher noch einige Zeit dauern, bis er ein beständiges Vertrauen zu uns Zweibeinern fassen kann. Der momentan noch etwas unsichere und ängstliche Kater wird sich mit viel Einfühlungsvermögen und Geduld bestimmt zu einem treuen Lebensbegleiter entwickeln. Bei Tessa, die einige Zeit von einer Futterstelle versorgt wurde und vor Kurzem in Eddys Zimmer zog, dürfen wir momentan miterleben, dass sie sich im Katzenschutz zunehmend wohlfühlt, die dortige Fürsorge und Geborgenheit genießt und Eddy zu ihrem besten Freund auserkoren hat. Die menschliche Hand ist Tessa zwar noch etwas fremd, aber mit Leckerlis kann man sie bereits etwas aus der Reserve locken. Eddy und Tessa spielen inzwischen sehr viel miteinander, teilen sich denselben Korb oder Unterschlupf und liegen gerne beieinander. Daher möchten die beiden Fellnasen im neuen Heim unbedingt zusammenbleiben
