Electra is a young female cat from the Paldiski colony. Along with her sister Dolores, they had comfortably settled into a summer cottage and raised their kittens there. However, the situation could not continue and a quick solution had to be found. First, I brought the smaller kittens to the shelter, and shortly after, their mothers and one older male cat. When Electra arrived at the shelter, she was very nervous, her tail was twitching and the room was full of hissing. All my approaches were met with fear. I let her calm down for a while, but when the quarantine period was over, the situation hadn't changed much. This time, I decided it was better to put her in the cat room with others, sometimes this solution works better than separation. And it suited Electrale, she feels good among others - she is active, plays, and takes naps with others and slowly gets used to people. Trust will come, because she hasn't had many interactions with people, the hissing still persists and she tends to swat with her paws, but much less. An offered hand along with a treat has already created some curiosity in her and I believe that soon the first contact will happen. Unfortunately, the shelter is such that in a large cat group it is not possible to give each cat as much individual attention as she needs, and therefore winning her trust may take quite a long time. Development and changes would happen much faster in her own home.

Electra on noor emane kiisu, kes pärineb Paldiski kolooniast. Koos oma õe Doloresega olid nad ennast mõnusalt ühele suvilakrundile sisse sättinud ja kasvatasid seal ühiselt oma järglasi. On aga tõsiasi, et sedasi asjad edasi minna ei saanud ning olukorrale tuli kiiresti lahendus leida. Esmalt tõime turvakoju väiksemad kiisud ning pisut hiljem ka nende emad ning ühe vanema kassipoisi. Electra oli hoiukoju jõudes väga trotsi täis, käpp oli kärme käima ja susinat oli tuba täis. Kõik mu lähenemiskatsed tõrjuti raevukalt. Lasin tal aegamisi rahuneda, kuid kui karantiiniaeg täis sai, ei olnud olukord palju muutunud. Sel korral pidasin paremaks ta kassituppa teiste juurde lasta, vahel mõjub selline lahendus paremini kui eraldamine. Ja Electrale see sobis, teiste hulgas tunneb ta ennast hästi – ta on aktiivne, mängib ja teeb uinakuid koos teistega ning vaikselt harjub ka inimesega. Usaldus on visa tulema, sest tal pole inimesega kokkupuuteid väga palju olnud, susinat veel kostab ja käpakesega kipub vehkima, kuid tunduvalt vähem.
