Eleyna

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Eleyna is a 4-year-old female dog who was abandoned on the streets of Romania, unfortunately a common occurrence there. She is now living in our private shelter in Fantanele, where she is particularly gentle and caring with her puppies. Eleyna is a friendly and pleasant soul. She may be a bit shy at first, but she quickly lets herself be petted. It is clear how much she enjoys affection - and she deserves a lot of it in her future life. We are looking for people who enjoy having four busy paws by their side and conquering everyday life together. People who give her the necessary time when something is new for her, give her security and patiently guide her through the ABC of dogs. Because yes - she will still have to learn a lot. But it will certainly be a wonderful experience to see how an unwanted stray becomes a happy companion who eventually walks through the front door and knows: This is my home. Eleyna seems to get along well with other dogs - so far there have been no problems. She will gradually meet other dogs, so we will soon be able to report on her interactions with her fellow canines. She has not had contact with cats yet. After a positive preliminary check and the assumption of a deposit, Eleyna travels spayed, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, de-fleaed and with an EU pet passport. The sweet Eleyna would love to take her first own bed. Who has one free forever or at least as a foster home for her? Thank you, Irina R., for taking on her sponsorship. Status: 14.09.2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Eleyna

What life with Eleyna looks like

Eleyna is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eleyna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eleyna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eleyna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eleyna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eleyna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eleyna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eleyna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
