Eliotte

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten

Eliotte is a European shorthair cat with black and white fur. She was spayed at 6 months old and tested negative for FIV (Sida) and FeLV (Leukemia). She has been vaccinated against Typhus and Coryza, and her health is good. Eliotte is currently in foster care. Eliotte's story is a bit unusual - when she was first brought to the shelter, everyone thought she was a boy! It wasn't until after her vaccination that they discovered she was actually a girl. Despite this little surprise, Eliotte has found her forever home and is now looking for another one. In terms of personality, Eliotte is generally calm but can have bursts of energy. She loves other cats and is very attached to her foster family. She follows them everywhere - kitchen, living room, bathroom! Just don't expect her to be too demanding when it comes to food; she's not a big eater and will happily eat her regular cat food. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, social, and affectionate kitten who loves to follow their favorite person around, Eliotte might just be the perfect match! She's now officially confirmed as female, so it's time for her to find a forever home. You can find more information about Eliotte on the shelter's Facebook page.

Identifiée par puce électronique Type : Européen Couleur : Noir et Blanc - Pelage : court Stérilisée Tests FIV (Sida) - FELV (Leucose) : négatif Vaccinée Typhus et Coryza Santé : Tout va bien En famille d'accueil Salut, moi c'est Eliotte ! Enfin... Eliotte, maintenant. Oui, oui.

About Eliotte

What life with Eliotte looks like

Eliotte is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eliotte, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eliotte?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eliotte on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eliotte if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eliotte already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eliotte isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eliotte and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
