Tiga

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten

A European-type tabby cat with short hair, identified by a microchip. Sterilized at 6 months old. FIV (AIDS) and FeLV (Leukemia) tests performed during sterilization. Vaccinated against Typhus and Coryza. Healthy. In foster care. I am only 3 months old, but I have already had an unusual adventure... My siblings and I were found abandoned in a cardboard box, left to fend for ourselves. Fortunately, kind humans took us in and put us in safety. At my aunt's place, I discovered something wonderful: the warmth of a home... and the comfort of being loved. Read more... I am a shy little kitten. I observe before acting, and I still get scared sometimes. I let myself be petted gently... but not too long! Just give me time to feel comfortable and then I become really adorable, they say My favorite activity? Napping, without hesitation! (I'm a true professional in the making). But I also love playing with just about anything that comes my way. And I must confess a little secret: I don't like being alone. The presence of another cat reassures me and helps me feel good. If you are looking for a discreet and endearing little companion, and you want to see a beautiful relationship develop smoothly... then I may be the one you need So... shall we meet? About Tiga

What life with Tiga looks like

Tiga is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus in France.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tiga, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tiga?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tiga on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tiga if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tiga already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tiga isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tiga and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
