Ella

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Ella is our little powerhouse. Ella was probably abandoned. She was alone on the road looking for food and water. Luckily, a local vet noticed her. Since Ella was just about to go into heat, she was spayed and dewormed. After the surgery, the vet brought the little one to the shelter with a request to find Ella a good home. Ella has handled the surgery and time on the street well. She is a lively, playful and affectionate young dog with a compact size. She loves people above all and gets along very well with other dogs. Ella is currently living in a foster home and has charmed everyone there with her charm. With her cheeky, alert button eyes, she also just looks adorable. And her future owners will certainly not be bored, but will have a lot of fun with the whirlwind. Working on all the things that make up a good dog-human relationship with Ella can be so much fun (and a bit of work) and it's so nice to see how you grow together. This also includes leash training, which is already being worked on.

DE·Show original

Hier kommt unser kleines Powerpaket Ella.

About Ella

What life with Ella looks like

Ella is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Ella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
