The basics Age: 7 Gender: Male Energy Level: Low/Medium Weight: 25 kg Elmo was deteriorating in a pound, gravely ill and receiving no treatment. When we were alerted to his situation, we knew we had to act — without intervention, he would not have survived. Leishmaniasis had left his face severely disfigured, and he was in a desperate state when he came to us in April 2026. He has undergone treatment and is doing very well. Through all of it, Elmo has remained a gentle, loving, and calm soul — the kind of dog who simply wants to be close to the people who care for him. He has claimed his favourite spot on the bed at the shelter, and he makes the most of every quiet moment.
