The basics Age: 6 Gender: Male Energy Level: Medium Weight: 18 kg Meet Elvis! Elvis is a good-natured, affectionate boy with a wonderful zest for life! Active and playful, he has come such a long way since his rescue. Elvis was originally found in a shocking state, completely devastated by leishmaniasis, and has spent several months waiting in a shelter enclosure. Despite his difficult past, he has bounced back brilliantly, walks well on a lead, and loves nothing more than enjoying life—and eating everything in sight (with zero food intolerances!). He has a cheeky, confident side, too: while he gets on brilliantly with female dogs, he can be a bit of a harmless bully around other males—he even tries to challenge his 70 kg buddy, Frodo! Health Leishmaniasis: Elvis tested positive for leishmaniasis and has been fully treated. He is currently doing really well. He will need ongoing observation and routine health monitoring to keep him in top shape. General Condition: Recovered brilliantly, with a healthy appetite and great overall energy. Compatibility Female Dogs: Gets on very well with female dogs. Male Dogs: Best in a home without other male dogs (or with very tolerant companions), as he can be a bit bossy with males despite being completely harmless. This behaviour may also be due to the fact that hs has not been neutered yet. It will be done before travel. Lifestyle: Great for an active family looking for an affectionate, playful dog who loves walks, treats, and being part of the action.
