I am Emma. An energetic lady with a social heart and a lot of character. I am up for adoption through another foundation. ... After a vacation period in which I stayed temporarily at Het Huis van de Dieren to allow for good observation, it was decided together that I would not return to my previous adoptive family. That was not an easy decision, but ultimately the right one for me. In my previous family, there was too much stress, pressure and confusion. I didn't always know what to expect and that made me increasingly anxious and restless. Eventually, the tension became so high that I became too stressed. And that's a shame, because when you get to know me well, you discover that I am an incredibly nice dog. I have a social heart and I like to be involved with my people. I am energetic, willing to work and I love it when I get to do something. My head wants to be busy and my body wants to move. I am a lady with a strong character. That means that I don't always know what the intention is. When there is too little structure or clarity, I can get quite unmanageable. I therefore need someone who is calm and consistent, who gives clear boundaries and helps me understand what is expected of me. That is what makes me relaxed. I need structure, movement, challenge and cooperation. Training together, being active and learning new things... that's what makes me happy! That's why I'm not looking for a dog owner who is mainly looking for a dog for a few quiet blocks. I am a sporty dog for a sporty owner. Someone who likes to work together with me. Walking, training, sports, discovering... as long as we are busy together. I don't need a perfect life. I just need someone who understands me, gives me clarity and knows how to use my energy in a positive way. Because believe me... under that strong character is a sweet, social dog who loves to work with her human. I am ready for a new start. Hoi, ik ben Emma. Een energieke dame met een sociaal hart en een flinke dosis karakter. Ik ben ter adoptie via een andere stichting. ... Na een vakantieperiode waarin ik tijdelijk bij Het Huis van de Dieren verbleef om mij goed te kunnen observeren, is samen besloten dat ik niet terug zou gaan naar mijn vorige adoptiegezin. Dat was geen gemakkelijke beslissing, maar uiteindelijk wel de juiste voor mij. In mijn vorige gezin was er voor mij te veel stress, drukte en onduidelijkheid. Ik wist niet altijd waar ik aan toe was en dat maakte mij steeds angstiger en onrustiger. Uiteindelijk liep de spanning zo hoog op dat ik veel te gestrest raakte. En dat is eigenlijk jammer, want als je mij goed leert kennen, ontdek je dat ik een ontzettend leuke hond ben. Ik heb een sociaal hart en ben graag betrokken bij mijn mensen. Ik ben energiek, werkwillig en vind het heerlijk wanneer ik iets mag doen. Mijn hoofd wil graag bezig zijn en mijn lijf wil graag bewegen. Ik ben wel een dame met een stevig karakter. Dat betekent dat ik niet vanzelf altijd weet wat de bedoeling is. Wanneer er te weinig structuur of duidelijkheid is, kan ik behoorlijk stuurloos raken. Ik heb daarom iemand nodig die rustig en consequent is, duidelijke grenzen geeft en mij helpt om te begrijpen wat er van mij verwacht wordt. Daar word ik juist ontspannen van. Ik heb behoefte aan structuur, beweging, uitdaging en samenwerking. Samen trainen, actief bezig zijn en nieuwe dingen leren… daar word ik blij van! Daarom zoek ik geen baasje dat vooral op zoek is naar een hond voor een paar rustige blokjes om. Ik ben een sportieve hond voor een sportieve eigenaar. Iemand die het leuk vindt om samen met mij aan de slag te gaan. Wandelen, trainen, sporten, ontdekken… zolang we maar samen bezig zijn. Ik hoef geen perfect leven. Ik heb vooral iemand nodig die mij begrijpt, mij duidelijkheid geeft en mijn energie op een positieve manier weet te gebruiken. Want geloof me… onder dat stevige karakter zit een lieve, sociale hond die ontzettend graag samen met haar mens wil werken. Ik ben klaar voor een nieuwe start. Een start waarin ik mag leren, groeien, bewegen en vooral weer vertrouwen krijgen. Misschien ben jij wel degene met wie ik mijn volgende avontuur mag beginnen? Liefs, Emma
