Adopt Enea

European Shorthair · Female · Young · 3 years

Identified by microchip Type: European Color: Grey tabby - Coat: Short Spayed Tested FIV (AIDS) and FELV (Leukemia) negative Vaccinated for Typhus and cat flu Health: Heart and pancreatic insufficiency requiring lifelong treatment and carrier of the calicivirus, otherwise everything is fine. At the shelter Hello humans! My name is Enea and I'm asking a little of your time to tell you my story, because as you could read in the first lines, I'm not the luckiest! I come from a feeding site in Valenton, where I grew up under the protection of the caregivers, then they entrusted me to the shelter so that I could leave the street and have the life I deserve! The volunteers took good care of me and during my first visit to the vet, they told them that I suffered from heart and pancreatic insufficiency. Fortunately, he had a solution for me. I have a treatment to take that allows me to live like other cats. To thank him, I go back to see him once a year, he checks my heart and it allows me to show how grateful I am for being treated and taken care of. I am also a carrier of the calicivirus, but I handle it well! I prefer to tell you because it's a very contagious virus and I wouldn't want my feline friends to catch it. Last important information, I have an adapted diet for my well-being, gastrointestinal food but it doesn't affect my appetite. I know my health problems can represent an additional cost for my future family but in return you will find an energetic playmate. Feathers, balls, or interactive games, I am full of energy and creativity when it comes to playing. These shared moments will quickly become precious moments in your daily life and create a first connection between us. Then with time and patience, I think I could be tempted by pats, cuddles and purrs. By adopting me, you choose a unique little cat, full of tenderness and potential. I only ask to offer you all the love I am capable of. With me, every day will be proof that good actions lead to the most beautiful stories. Find Enea on the shelter's Facebook page.

About Enea

What life with Enea looks like

Enea is a young adult european shorthair cat waiting at Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus in France.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Enea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Enea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Enea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Enea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Enea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Enea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Le Regroupement Des Chats Perdus early rather than rehoming privately; they know Enea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
