A female dog who wants to learn to trust. Our Enya unfortunately did not have a pleasant past, and this is especially noticeable when she first meets unfamiliar people. She is very skeptical, insecure and cautious, and she needs time to build trust. Out of fear and feeling overwhelmed, she may growl or snap forward during a first encounter. For safety's sake, she therefore wears a muzzle. This is not a sign that she is a "bad" dog; rather, it gives everyone involved the necessary security while she slowly learns to trust. She is also rather particular with other dogs and does not especially like fellow canines. A calm and understanding environment, where she is not constantly confronted with unfamiliar dogs, would therefore be ideal for her. Once she has gained trust, however, she shows a completely different side: her true nature comes to the fore! She is athletic, active and a real bundle of energy. She wants to experience things, be kept busy and discover the world together with her people. She needs people who give her time, patience and security and who are willing to show her that she can trust humans. Anyone who gives her this chance gets the opportunity to build a very special bond with her.

Eine Hündin, die Vertrauen lernen möchte. Unsere Enya hat leider keine schöne Vergangenheit und das merkt man ihr besonders bei der ersten Begegnung mit fremden Menschen an. Sie ist sehr skeptisch, unsicher und vorsichtig und braucht Zeit, um Vertrauen zu fassen. Aus Angst und Überforderung kann es bei der ersten Begegnung vorkommen, dass sie knurrt oder nach vorne schnappt. Deshalb trägt sie sicherheitshalber einen Maulkorb. Dieser ist kein Zeichen dafür, dass sie ein „böser“ Hund ist, sondern gibt allen Beteiligten die nötige Sicherheit, während sie langsam Vertrauen aufbauen darf. Auch mit anderen Hunden ist sie eher eigen und mag Artgenossen nicht besonders gerne. Ein ruhiges und verständnisvolles Umfeld, in dem sie nicht ständig mit fremden Hunden konfrontiert wird, wäre daher für sie ideal. Hat sie jedoch erst einmal Vertrauen gefasst, zeigt sie eine ganz andere Seite: Dann kommt ihr wahres Wesen zum Vorschein! Sie ist sportlich, aktiv und ein echtes Energiebündel. Sie möchte etwas erleben, beschäftigt werden und gemeinsam mit ihren Menschen die Welt entdecken. Sie braucht Menschen, die ihr Zeit, Geduld und Sicherheit schenken und bereit sind, ihr zu zeigen, dass sie Menschen vertrauen kann. Wer ihr diese Chance gibt, bekommt die Möglichkeit, eine ganz besondere Verbindung zu ihr aufzubauen.
