Enya

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 2 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Enya has found her home! Her story: The little Enya was rescued from the roadside by Raluca and Andras. She was quite timid, but it succeeded in taking the little mouse with them. She now lives in a private foster home, but outdoors together with about 25 other dogs. The little Enya is about 2 years old and has a small size, measuring around 25 cm and weighing 5 kg. She might be a Cocker-mixed breed. Enya likes to be stroked. She can be put on a harness but needs to get used to it. Enya is compatible with other dogs on-site. We know nothing about Enya's past, but it's likely she has never lived in a home before. She therefore needs to learn everything and wishes for people who will take her by the paw and gently lead her into her new life. She will enjoy walks very much and also the cuddles of her two-leggeds. Enya wants to be challenged both physically and mentally. Despite her small size, she is no handbag dog but wants to be treated like a "Big" dog. Enya is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She brings an EU pet passport and can be adopted after a positive Schenkst du Enya ihr Glück? Stand: 22.02.2025 Many thanks to Fam. Manske! You have given Enya her name!

Stand: 22.02.2025 Vielen Dank an Fam. Manske! Ihr habt Enya ihren Namen geschenkt!

About Enya

What life with Enya looks like

Enya is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Enya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Enya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Enya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Enya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Enya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Enya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Enya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
