Enzo

Border Collie · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Enzo ID No.: 1058888 Breed: Border Collie Age: approx. 06/2026 Gender: Male Shoulder Height: Still growing Neutered/Spayed: No Location: Marbella (Spain) Enzo Inquiry Form – Active Collie Puppy Seeks a Suitable Home The little Enzo (*approx. 06/2026, still growing) was found together with his brother Lewis and his sister by the roadside in Marbella, Spain. The three puppies were trying to climb up a slope when they were fortunately spotted and brought to safety in time by a partner animal welfare organization associated with our shelter Triple A. His mother lives with a shepherd; the father is unknown. Based on his development and the size of his paws, we currently assume that Enzo will grow into one of the larger medium-sized dogs. Of course, there’s no guarantee of this. Enzo is one of two male puppies from the litter and is developing into a cheerful, open-minded puppy. Like all dogs his age, he is playful, curious, and full of curiosity and enthusiasm for discovery. He wants to explore the world and longs for people who will lovingly accompany him, provide him with security, and patiently teach him the basics of dog life step by step. Since Enzo is a Collie—and thus a herding dog—he possesses the typical characteristics of an active working breed. Therefore, we are looking for a home with plenty of space and people who enjoy keeping him physically and mentally stimulated. A life in a small city apartment is definitely not suitable for him. Ideally, Enzo would find a home on a farm or with very active people who, for example, practice dog sports and already have experience with herding or other working breeds. Enzo is vaccinated, microchipped, and has an EU pet passport upon departure. In addition, he will be dewormed and treated against fleas according to his age. Our puppies are only placed with a mandatory neutering clause. Impfungen Ja Mittelmeercheck Nein Microchip Ja Krankheiten Keine bekannt Schutzgebühr 500 € inkl. About Enzo

What life with Enzo looks like

Enzo is a medium-sized puppy/kitten border collie dog waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Enzo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Enzo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Enzo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Enzo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Enzo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Enzo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Enzo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
