Epica ferry

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Épica has 4 years old and has been at the animal shelter for 3 years. She came from a Noé syndrome situation where she spent her first months of life and has lived through very difficult times. Épica is a very special, beautiful, and calm little cat. She is quite shy around strangers, but when she gets to know you, she gradually warms up, especially if you have any treats. She doesn’t enjoy much petting and doesn’t participate in the group’s games, as she doesn’t quite fit in with the other cats. However, we believe that in a home, with calm and stability, she could relax and start feeling truly secure. We are looking for a family with experience in caring for shy cats, who can offer her patience, affection, and a quiet home. She doesn’t ask for much, just someone who understands that not all cats need physical contact, and that she will be at peace, approaching when she needs to. We are convinced that Épica has enormous potential and that, when she finds her place, she will show how wonderful she is. Will you give her the opportunity she needs?----------- The cats Ferry come from a Noé syndrome situation in a home in the center of Madrid. When the apartment owners managed to evict the tenant, they were surprised to find about 40 unneutered cats left abandoned inside the same place. They immediately sought help from different animal rescue associations to try to help all those cats living among trash. At ALBA, we took in 4 of them during one of the first visits to the house. Three of them are very friendly and sociable, Épica is the most shy, but with gentle work, we will gain her trust and help her lose her fear. She is already vaccinated and neutered. FELV-FIV test negative.

About Epica ferry

What life with Epica ferry looks like

Epica ferry is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at ALBA Protectora Madrid in Madrid.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Epica ferry, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Epica ferry?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. ALBA Protectora Madrid handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Epica ferry on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Epica ferry if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — ALBA Protectora Madrid will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Epica ferry already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Epica ferry isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with ALBA Protectora Madrid early rather than rehoming privately; they know Epica ferry and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
