Eva

Belgian Malinois · Female · Young · 1 year

Eva is seeking her fortune Eva has just arrived at the animal shelter in Spain and, of course, needs some time to get used to her new situation. Unfortunately, we know nothing about her past, and we hope that in the coming days and weeks, we and the caretakers in Spain will get to know the sweetness of her better. Eva is a Malinois-Podenco mix. And this is no minor detail, but an important note: Eva sleeps with an active, intelligent, and sensitive dog who needs clear leadership, mental stimulation, and above all, lots of exercise. Dog sports, joint training, extensive adventures – all this could be her world. For this, she needs people who know what they are getting into. And those are the people we are looking for. Whether Eva has already had experiences living in a household or has had any contact with one-on-one dog training, we do not know. We wish for people who understand this, who meet her with patience and understanding, and who give her the time to settle in calmly. We always ask that decisions about adopting a shelter dog be made with responsibility. Many of them have had difficult experiences and may not have been able to trust until now. Like in so many dogs, a wonderful partner is hidden in Eva who is waiting for the people who will give her the dog life she so deserves. If you are aware of what adopting a shelter dog entails and you have fallen in love with the idea, please contact the responsible mediator at SALVA Hundehilfe. We would also be very grateful for the provision of a foster home, and of course, Eva herself!

About Eva

What life with Eva looks like

Eva is a young adult belgian malinois dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
