Externe Dobermann Mexx

Doberman · Male

Pößneck Mexx My name is Mexx, I am between 7-8 years old. I was taken in by the responsible authority because my husbandry did not align with animal protection laws in several points. Additionally, the handling of me and my partner was not tolerable, I did not survive my partner…. I am skeptical of strangers, and whoever is on the other end of the leash is protected outside, which I have learned, and was likely important in my origin. Outside of the property, I wear a muzzle. I am approachable and happy when someone tells me what I should improve. What I am looking for is a home with a garden, as I like to have the choice between being inside and outside. Against a sovereign partner, I have nothing to complain about, so the absence of my primary caregiver is easier for me, but it is not a must. Sometimes I have to wait in my room here, which I find a bit silly, that I also hear. My people should be physically suited to me, as I am a sturdy fellow who brings some strength. I suffer from hypothyroidism, and I respond well to the current medication… precise adjustment is currently taking place. At present, I am in a pension, which is okay, but I miss my own home…. I have settled a bit here, showing myself to be friendly and cuddly. The advantage here is the nice girls who occasionally drop by, I enjoy their company, I am not a play fanatic, rather laid-back in my dealings with them. Small animals should not live within my reach, I do not show an excessive prey drive, but there could be unsightly encounters. Whoever wants to learn more about me can contact my foster parent at: or: preferably via WhatsApp as the reception here is terrible.

About Externe Dobermann Mexx

What life with Externe Dobermann Mexx looks like

Externe Dobermann Mexx is a adult doberman dog waiting at Dobermann-Nothilfe Mudersbach in Mudersbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Externe Dobermann Mexx, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Externe Dobermann Mexx?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dobermann-Nothilfe Mudersbach handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Externe Dobermann Mexx on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Externe Dobermann Mexx if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dobermann-Nothilfe Mudersbach will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Externe Dobermann Mexx already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Externe Dobermann Mexx isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dobermann-Nothilfe Mudersbach early rather than rehoming privately; they know Externe Dobermann Mexx and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
