Tyla

Doberman · Female · Adult · 4 years

For interest in our dear Tyla, please send us the completed application form: Our dogs, such as Tyla, usually come directly from Turkey to their families. What we know about Tyla: Tyla is an impressive, character-strong approximately 3-year-old Dobermann female dog – sensitive, loyal, and very attached to her people. She brings with her all that makes this special breed: intelligence, alertness, and a deep bonding capacity. Tyla lived with an older man who suddenly passed away. For two days, she stayed alone in the house, drawing attention to herself with her incessant barking until neighbors finally called the police. A young man from the neighborhood then took her in, but even this home was not permanent, as he moved to the USA. So, Tyla finally came to us and is now waiting for a permanent home. Tyla is a very people-oriented female dog who forms a close bond with her primary caregiver and seeks their proximity. She is attentive, clever, and clearly shows how important her "own" people are. However, typical of her breed, she also brings a strong character and needs clear leadership and experienced hands. She would like to be an only dog, is not compatible with cats or small animals, and is not suitable for households with children. This is what we wish for Tyla: • an experienced home, ideally with Dobermann knowledge • clear structures and confident leadership • lots of time, proximity, and bonding • a quiet environment without many stimuli Those who understand Tyla and win her trust will get an exceptionally loyal and faithful companion for life. Nice to know: Tyla is not a dog for "in addition" – she is looking for people who consciously choose her and give her the security she needs. About Tyla

What life with Tyla looks like

Tyla is a medium-sized adult doberman dog waiting at Care-4-life e.V. in Stuttgart.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tyla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tyla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Care-4-life e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tyla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tyla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Care-4-life e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tyla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tyla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Care-4-life e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tyla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
