Fąfel

Male · Adult · 5 years

Fąfel is a young, friendly and energetic dog who loves human contact, play and long walks. He always happily greets us in the cage and is ready to go out immediately. Fąfel is not afraid of cars, buses or loud noises. He is very well-mannered, observant and attentive ✨ and at the same time learns the rules of shelter life quickly. For this guy we are looking for caregivers who will give him a large dose of affection and exploit the potential that lies dormant in him! 🥰 Fąfel has already visited his volunteer's apartment and participated in the Adopt a Warsawite campaign. He feels very good in the city. He is not afraid of street traffic and gladly explores the neighborhood streets. He took the bus and proved to be a very courteous passenger 😊 He also handles car rides well, calmly lying on the seat. Fąfel does not accept other dogs, so he must be an only dog in the house. We do not yet know how Fąfl is with children, but his friendly attitude gives good prospects. In our opinion, the dog will find himself both in an apartment and in a house with a garden. Dla chłopaka szukamy opiekunów, którzy obdarzą go dużą dawką czułości i wykorzystają drzemiący w nim potencjał! About Fąfel

What life with Fąfel looks like

Fąfel is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Must be only dog in household

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fąfel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fąfel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fąfel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fąfel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fąfel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fąfel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fąfel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
