Adopt Faraón

Mixed Breed · Male

Hello human. My name is Faraón. 🐾 Yes, like a king… even though my life didn't exactly start off regally. When I was found, I was wandering alone on the street, full of ticks and with a collar that was far too tight, as if someone had forgotten that I need to breathe. But fortunately, there are people who look more closely. They rescued me with a trap, which admittedly sounds like a bad story, but let me tell you: the food inside was worth it. And my life since then has been even better. At the animal shelter in Murcia, I can finally relax and don't have to fight for survival every day. Of course, my life on the streets has left its mark. At first, I'm a bit shy. I need a moment to trust you. But once I get to know you, I'll show you who I really am: friendly, fun, and a great companion. I get along great with other dogs, I walk like a pro on the leash, and I'm relaxed when traveling in the car. I also think kids are great. Cats? I don't know… I haven't tested that yet. What I'm looking for? A home where I can take my time to settle in. Not much, just a little patience, and I will show you who I really am. A small, cheerful king with a big heart. Upon arrival, I will be vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and I will have my EU pet passport with me.

Hallo Mensch. Was ich suche?

About Faraón

What life with Faraón looks like

Faraón is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Faraón, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Faraón?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Faraón on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Faraón if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Faraón already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Faraón isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Faraón and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
