Faro has lived in the Busag shelter since his earliest puppyhood, but he has never known a real home. At around 4.5 years old, he is marked by a hard life among many other dogs: not long ago, Faro was severely attacked by fellow animals and bears scars on his face and all over his body. This experience has further withdrawn him—fear and uncertainty now shape his everyday life. In the shelter, Faro is just one of many. Here, a single person cares for more than 60 dogs. Time for affection, cuddles, and individual contact is scarce, so Faro has never had the chance to build trust with humans. As a German Shepherd mix, he would be attachable and loyal, but for Faro, people are only those who feed him. His sister Farah still lives in the shelter, alongside many other dogs. Faro avoids conflict and stays in the background. Faro is about 55–60 cm tall and a beautiful dog, but in dealing with people, he is fearful and unfortunately not touchable. He flees when approached or barks at someone when offered treats. For a normal life in a home with regular walks and adventures, he will likely need a long time—perhaps he will never fully learn, as the sad experiences have shaped him. For Faro, we are looking for special people with a lot of heart and patience who can offer him a quiet, safe retreat, ideally in the countryside with an enclosed yard. Limitations and constraints would overwhelm him. A relaxed everyday life, little chaos, and a quiet life—perhaps somewhere there is the perfect home that finally offers Faro security and care. Faro is definitely not a beginner dog but a real challenge for experienced, sensitive animal welfare workers or dog enthusiasts. Despite everything, we hope that Faro can also find his luck and finally realizes that people can be more than just food. We do not give up on hope! Faro lebt seit seiner frühesten Welpenzeit im Shelter von Busag, doch ein richtiges Zuhause hat er bislang nie kennengelernt. Mit seinen nun etwa 4,5 Jahren ist er gezeichnet von einem harten Leben zwischen vielen anderen Hunden: Vor einiger Zeit wurde Faro schwer von Artgenossen attackiert und trägt seitdem Narben im Gesicht und am ganzen Körper. Dieses Erlebnis hat ihn noch weiter in sich zurückgezogen – Angst und Unsicherheit prägen inzwischen seinen Alltag. Im Shelter ist Faro nur einer von vielen. Hier kümmert sich eine einzelne Person um mehr als 60 Hunde. Zeit für Zuwendung, Streicheleinheiten und individuellen Kontakt bleibt kaum, sodass Faro nie die Chance hatte, Vertrauen zum Menschen zu fassen. Als Schäferhund-Mix wäre er eigentlich bindungsfähig und loyal, doch Menschen sind für ihn bislang nur die, von denen er gefüttert wird. Auch seine Schwester Farah lebt immernoch im Shelter, ebenso mit vielen anderen Hunden nebeneinander her. Faro meidet Streit und hält sich im Hintergrund. Faro ist etwa 55–60 cm groß und ein wunderschöner Hund, doch im Umgang mit Menschen ist er ängstlich und leider nicht mehr anfassbar. Er flüchtet, wenn man auf ihn zugeht oder bellt einen an, wenn man ihn mit Leckerlis anlocken möchte. Für ein normales Leben in einem Haushalt, mit regelmäßigen Gassi-Gängen und Abenteuern, wird er vermutlich noch lange Zeit brauchen – vielleicht wird er es auch nie gänzlich lernen, denn die traurigen Erfahrungen haben ihn geprägt. Für Faro suchen wir besondere Menschen mit viel Herz und Geduld, die ihm einen ruhigen, sicheren Rückzugsort bieten, optimalerweise ländlich mit eingezäuntem Grundstück. Einschränkungen und Zwänge würden ihn überfordern. Ein entspannter Alltag, wenig Trubel und ein ruhiges Leben – vielleicht findet sich irgendwo das passende Zuhause, das Faro endlich Sicherheit und Fürsorge schenkt. Ein Anfängerhund ist Faro definitiv nicht, sondern eine echte Herausforderung für erfahrene, feinfühlige Tierschützer oder Hundekenner. Trotz allem hoffen wir, dass auch Faro sein Glück finden darf und endlich erfährt, dass Menschen zu mehr taugen als nur fürs Futter. Wir geben die Hoffnung nicht auf!
