Adopt Faye

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

When Faye came to the foster home, she was shy and cautious but soon blossomed into a playful, curious, and busy cat. Faye loves human company but a certain shyness still lingers. She is constantly developing and becoming more comfortable with us humans. Faye wants to be adopted together with her sister Finja. Faye is very playful and purrs softly at the slightest bit of petting. Being pet on the head is her favorite. She is happy to keep company on the couch and prefers to curl up in her human’s lap to be pet and praised. In such calm situations, her beautiful and playful personality shines through. In more lively situations, she keeps a bit more distance. Faye loves playing with her sister Finja. They wrestle, chase, and play hide-and-seek. They always keep an eye on each other and communicate (meow) loudly. It’s okay to hold Faye in your arms for a little while, but she doesn’t appreciate it. She shows this by gently batting or trying to back out of your arms. Faye has lived with younger children in the foster home and it has gone very well, although she prefers adults. If there are children in the home, it’s important that she has a calm space to retreat to when needed. Currently, Faye is an indoor cat and does well with that, but she would certainly also enjoy a secure outdoor time.

Inkom i jourhem 11/12 2025

About Faye

What life with Faye looks like

Faye is a small young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Örebro Katthem in 702 16 Örebro.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇸🇪Adopting from Sweden

Swedish shelters require an adoption application and home visit. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized. Cross-border placements within the EU use the standard pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Faye, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Faye?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Örebro Katthem handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Faye on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Faye if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Örebro Katthem will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Faye already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Faye isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Örebro Katthem early rather than rehoming privately; they know Faye and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
