Fee

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Fee—her heart already longs for it, but she still lacks the courage... Sometimes, it simply takes a little longer for a little soul to find the courage to trust. That’s exactly how it is with Fee. Fee was born outdoors together with her siblings around May/June 2025. At first, the little cat family had hardly any contact with humans, and it took some time before they could all be brought to safety. Today, Fee lives at a foster home, where she has made great progress. She’s curious, attentive, and now consciously seeks out the company of her people. Often, she watches with interest what’s going on around her and would really love to be part of it. Yet when a hand reaches out toward her, she still lacks just a tiny bit of courage at the crucial moment. You can feel that she’d love to trust—but she just can’t quite take that final step yet. With strangers, Fee remains very cautious and tends to withdraw at first. That’s why getting to know her isn’t entirely straightforward; visitors usually start by observing her from a safe hiding place. However, if you give her the time to settle in peace and quiet, you’ll soon discover just how curious and interested she really is. For Fee, we’re looking for calm, experienced cat owners who are patient and empathetic—people who don’t place any expectations on her but instead rejoice in every small step forward. Because it’s precisely these little steps that make the biggest difference in the end. Fee knows dogs and could either move in with a calm, sociable cat or join her sister Feli in her new home. We’re certain that Fee holds within her a wonderful, cuddly cat—she just needs people who’ll show her that she no longer has to be afraid. Who will give this delicate little soul the chance at a loving forever home and patiently wait for the day when Fee gathers all her courage? ? Fee is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and tested negative for FIV and leukemia. For more information, please contact Stefanie Schütze from 4:30 p.m. onward.

About Fee

What life with Fee looks like

Fee is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Arche Noah Tierschutz Westerwald e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fee, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fee?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arche Noah Tierschutz Westerwald e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fee on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fee if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arche Noah Tierschutz Westerwald e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fee already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fee isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arche Noah Tierschutz Westerwald e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fee and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
