Felek

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 12 months

Felek is seeking your attention. Although he is quite old, he still walks proudly, wagging his tail happily and demanding affection. During walks, he finds time for exploration and interaction with humans, seemingly ignoring the potential limitations that come with old age. He is still curious about the world and is looking for someone to show him new places and shower him with love. Felusia can be described as a versatile dog - suitable for both the couch and hiking. He is easy-going, showing no aggression towards humans or other dogs. Everyone has their own preferences, but for many, this gentleman would be the ideal choice! Felek is not afraid of his surroundings, and although he attracts the attention of other dogs on walks, it is curiosity rather than aggression, so there is a good chance he would get along with a canine companion. He would be happy to live with children, as long as they respect his boundaries, but his reaction to cats is unknown to us. Based on his overall temperament, it is worth a try. About Felek

What life with Felek looks like

Felek is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Frequently asked

Adopting Felek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Felek?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Felek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Felek if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Felek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Felek isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Felek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
