Adopt Felicia

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

animal rescuer: Ilza Yosifova born approximately: April 2021 Gender: female Location: Bulgaria sterilized: yes FIV test: negative FeLV test: negative Disabilities: no compatible with: Children: not known Cats: yes Dogs: not known Requirements: NONE Single housing only suitable for apartment living, NO outdoor access Balcony or terrace desired (if available, the safety is required) Felicias story began as no kitten would wish: Ilza found her and her siblings dirty, full of fleas and completely abandoned next to garbage containers. Probably they were simply disposed of like trash there. The small little ones were entirely on their own. Of course, Ilza immediately took the small ones in and brought them to safety. At the age of six months, Felicia had to fight again: At that time she got sick with FIP, but could be successfully treated. All of this is now more than four years ago and Felicia has long since left this difficult period of her life behind. Only one thing is still missing for her - her own people. Personality-wise, Felicia is rather a calm and balanced cat. She likes to take things relaxed. She loves to play - just in her gentle way. Also towards people she shows herself friendly and enjoys when someone has time for her. In her group in Bulgaria, she gets along well with the other cats and is a very social and uncomplicated roommate there. That Felicia is still waiting has absolutely nothing to do with her - she is simply one of the more unobtrusive souls, which are often overlooked in the flood of online advertisements. Felicia has been waiting for so long to finally be seen. But she doesn't need much - just a quiet home and people who can take her in. Whoever gives her this chance will have a gentle, loving cat by their side, who is simply grateful to finally belong.

About Felicia

What life with Felicia looks like

Felicia is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Felicia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Felicia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Felicia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Felicia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Felicia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Felicia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Felicia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
