adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Two siblings and a big dream. The dream of a family of their own. Fenchel and her brother Flori barely dare to hope, but we will try everything to make this dream a happy dog life. Currently, Fenchel weighs about 8 kg. She is expected to reach a medium size. With her large dark spot on her bottom and wild scruffy fur, Fenchel is unmistakable. Her surroundings observe her with her big, clever round eyes. Due to her appearance, German Shepherd genes cannot be ruled out. Fenchel is very unsettled by the current situation. In the shelter, it is loud, and the little ones have a hard time settling down. The little mouse is therefore shy and would rather be invisible. And yet, there are the small moments where one can see that she has not given up hope. Gentle touches allow her to be, and she is gentle and quiet. For Fenchel, it would be incredibly important to be able to escape the shelter routine so that peace and stability can settle in. Therefore, a loving foster family would also be a precious first step for Fenchel. Like every puppy, Fenchel still has a lot to learn, and anyone who wants to adopt a little puppy soul like Fenchel should be clear about the responsibility beforehand. We wish Fenchel a loving home where she can grow up with a lot of care, patience, and also consistency. A visit to a positively working dog training class is also a benefit for growing puppy children. And we are sure that Fenchel will grow up to be a great companion with the necessary support and training. Fenchel travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, together with her EU pet passport. Can Fenchel soon be part of your family? Then contact us. Thank you, dear Henric! Thanks to you, Fenchel now has an identity and the chance for a happy dog life. Date: 05.06.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! About Fenchel

What life with Fenchel looks like

Fenchel is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fenchel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fenchel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fenchel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fenchel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fenchel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fenchel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fenchel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
