Adopt Fendy

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Fendy, born on *December 1, 2021*, is a male dog, Border Collie mixStanding about 65 cm at the shoulderFendy immediately caught our attention. Such a wonderful dog with incredible potential. But he's not just a beautiful sight; he's also an exceptionally intelligent dog. With a wink, one can say that he has quickly learned to theatrically drop to the ground every few meters while walking - as there has often been a treat for it. Unfortunately, this has given the impression that he isn't fond of walking, which has so far made it difficult for him to find his own home. However, with the necessary calmness, patience, and loving guidance, it becomes quickly apparent that Fendy does indeed enjoy walking and navigates well during walks. He's an incredibly eager and affectionate companion who wants to build a close bond with his people. Of course, Fendy also brings some uncertainties. He carefully observes new situations to assess whether everything is safe. Initially, he found children somewhat scary, but after just two days, he realized that they too belong - and is now much more relaxed around them. Behind his cautious nature lies a sensitive dog who desires nothing more than a reliable friend by his side - someone who understands him and shows him how beautiful life can be together. He wishes for a stable, loving home. Contact:

Kontakt:90578430172 6018161

About Fendy

What life with Fendy looks like

Fendy is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fendy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fendy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fendy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fendy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fendy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fendy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fendy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
