Adopt Feodora

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Kitten · 4 months

Feodora is a bit calmer than her siblings but also very curious. She likes to come over and see what’s going on. Feodora would like a home with free-range access in a quiet environment and one of her siblings as the little ones are very attached to each other. Cat visit / adoption Story of the group Daisie's Kitten We were contacted by a lady who unfortunately informed us that her neighbor's wife had recently passed away and now there were several unneutered cats that urgently needed new homes. Our neutering team immediately went out and managed to secure and take 5 female kittens and 1 tomcat. As it was already very late, they were all brought together to a foster home, and we had just arranged a vet appointment for the next morning. We had already noticed while catching them that one or two of the cats might be pregnant. And indeed, it was high time, as Daisie gave birth to her 4 babies that same night. At the vet, it turned out that two more were close to giving birth. So, the two were moved to a different foster care. The tomcat was neutered and, since he was much older, was allowed to return to his owner. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Feodora

What life with Feodora looks like

Feodora is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Katzenhaus-Freunde in Zürich region.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Feodora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Feodora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenhaus-Freunde handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Feodora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Feodora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenhaus-Freunde will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Feodora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Feodora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenhaus-Freunde early rather than rehoming privately; they know Feodora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
