Ferb

Male · Puppy

Support and Health How much training will I need? Needs ongoing support Can I be left alone? Potentially, once settled Ferb came to us as a stray, so we are unsure if he’s ever been left home alone. Due to this and his age, he is looking for owners who are at home most of the time and can build his home alone up gradually from scratch. Do I have any medical conditions? None Who I can live with Can I live with dogs? Yes Can I live with cats? No Can I live with small pets? No Additional information When meeting other dogs, Ferb can be very bouncy and enthusiastic, sometimes getting a little too close into their personal space. We feel he could live happily with a well-socialised adult dog who can help teach him appropriate boundaries while also enjoying plenty of playtime with him. Ferb can also bark at other dogs when out on walks, as he is often eager to say hello! He is currently working on his manners around other dogs and making good progress with his ongoing training. Family and environment What kind of family am I looking for? Ferb could potentially live with children aged 11 years old and above, providing they are comfortable around an excitable, bouncy dog and can help with his training. What type of environment would suit me? Ferb will need a very secure garden in his new home with 6ft + fencing and will need to be monitored when out there, as he is an agile boy who has scaled fences previously. Ideally, Ferb needs to have no neighbouring dogs as this causes him to get frustrated that he can’t hang out with them. About Ferb Ferb is the sweetest boy with the most wonderful personality to go alongside! He loves seeing people and always has a wiggly body and waggy tail. He is going through his adolescent phase so we are currently doing some training to help him through this. Ferb is an intelligent boy who picks things up quickly and is eager to please. Ferb loves to meet dog friends that match his energy. Sometimes he cannot contain his excitement and may bark to get to them. We are working on his engagement as he will not be able to meet every dog unfortunately for him! He will be great for someone who is is looking for a dog that can join them on their active adventures. Not only does Ferb love physical enrichment but he loves to use his brain too to work out food puzzles!

About Ferb

What life with Ferb looks like

Ferb is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at Woodgreen Pets Charity in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ferb, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ferb?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Woodgreen Pets Charity handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ferb on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ferb if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Woodgreen Pets Charity will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ferb already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ferb isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Woodgreen Pets Charity early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ferb and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
