Fernando is a dog whose life has not been easy. He ended up at the animal shelter as an older dog, neglected, tired from years of lack of care and safety. He is one of those dogs who most clearly show how cruel old age can be without a home and without a person. Despite everything, Fernando has remained extremely gentle and friendly. He is a calm, good dog who does not look for conflicts. He greatly values contact with people and moments outside the crate. As soon as we open the gate, Fernando shows with his whole being how much he wants to go out. He is already old, but still has surprisingly much strength in him. Perhaps it's not muscle strength, but a great need for freedom and being close to a person. Walks are very important for him. He walks calmly, drawing real joy from them. He takes medication for his thyroid and liver as well as gabapentin for joint pain. At the animal shelter, Fernando lives according to the rhythm of small, daily moments. He waits for feeding, for his medication, for a walk. These moments are the most important for him. He seems like a dog who no longer expects miracles, but we definitely don't want to accept that. Fernando deserves a home. A quiet, dignified retirement by the side of a person who will give him time, tenderness, and a sense of security. He will best fit into a calm home, without excessive stimuli, with caregivers who understand the needs of an older dog. He is a dog who does not need long walks or intense activities. He needs presence, routine, and a soft bed. We don't want his life to end behind bars. We dream of Fernando becoming a full-fledged family member and peacefully living out his remaining years. Fernando to pies, którego życie nie oszczędzało. Trafił do schroniska jako senior, zaniedbany, zmęczony latami braku troski i bezpieczeństwa. Jest jednym z tych psów, które najmocniej pokazują, jak okrutna bywa starość bez domu i bez człowieka. Mimo wszystkiego Fernando pozostał niezwykle łagodny i przyjazny. To spokojny, dobry pies, który nie szuka konfliktów. Bardzo ceni sobie kontakt z człowiekiem oraz chwile poza boksem. Jak tylko otwieramy kratę, Fernando całym sobą pokazuje, jak bardzo chce wyjść. Jest już stary, ale wciąż ma w sobie zaskakująco dużo siły. Być może to nie siła mięśni, a ogromna potrzeba wolności i bycia blisko człowieka. Spacery są dla niego bardzo ważne.
