Figo

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Fig is a small but energetic dog. What can we say about him? He is loving, always cheerful. He has a great appetite for toys and food, hence his winter figure. He walks nicely on a leash during walks, politely passes by cars, but sometimes gets excited by dogs barking from behind the fences. He knows a kennel crate and keeps the house clean. He gets along with other dogs, although he is full of energy and not everyone will like it. When highly excited, he may try to relieve his emotions by nipping or playing with a toy (if it's at hand), and on walks, he redirects to the leash. He barks when something happens, and he doesn't see it, or when someone approaches the fence. Spend a few moments with him, and his charm and positive energy will quickly tip the scales of advantages and disadvantages in favor of the former.

PL·Show original

Zna klatkę kennelową i zachowuje czystość w domu.

About Figo

What life with Figo looks like

Figo is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at La Fauna Fundacja Dla Zwierząt - interwencje i adopcje in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Figo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Figo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. La Fauna Fundacja Dla Zwierząt - interwencje i adopcje handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Figo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Figo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — La Fauna Fundacja Dla Zwierząt - interwencje i adopcje will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Figo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Figo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with La Fauna Fundacja Dla Zwierząt - interwencje i adopcje early rather than rehoming privately; they know Figo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
