adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Fine has found her home! Her story: Cluj, Romania. Today, Fine steps forward – a little puppy in this big world has packed her bags and is searching for her forever home! Together, the siblings Casper, Simba, Djona, Mara, and Fine were found in a laundry basket like dirty laundry at the shelter in Baia Mare. Fortunately, we found an immediate foster home and now the little babies are in safety. Well, what to say about Fine? Take a look for yourselves! She is the smallest from the litter and immediately knows how to use her charm. She has a sunny disposition, is absolutely delicate and pleasant to handle, and simply melts hearts. At two months old, she currently weighs 1-2kg. She is expected to grow to a small size when fully grown. She is friendly, curious about contact with people, and gets along well with cats. For Fine, we wish loving and active people who can also set boundaries. Fine is coming soon into puberty, a very decisive phase in the life of a young puppy, and the hormone chaos will turn everything upside down. We wish for Fine to continue to develop well and need a positive and consistent guidance under which she learns to accept boundaries. With patient people by her side, this phase will become a very important one in her life, where she will form a special bond. Fine will become a great companion for various activities. A lively puppy, who, to her great fortune, still lacks one thing – her very own family, she has more than earned it! The little girl must still get to know life outside her pen. She is open and brave with new things, but Fine still has a lot to learn; she is not house-trained, cannot be left alone, and must still master the 1×1 of puppy training. Fine comes microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas into her family. She brings an EU pet passport and will only be placed after a positive Many thanks to Tami. You have given Fine a name and thus an identity!

Naja, was soll man über Fine sagen? Vielen Dank an Tami.

About Fine

What life with Fine looks like

Fine is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fine, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fine?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fine on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fine if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Fine already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fine isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fine and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
